About Yoshimi
Yoshimi's Story
Yoshimi Arai is a multifaceted life coach whose journey of personal transformation began in Japan and flourished in New York. Originally from Yokohama, she embraced traditional Japanese roles as a devoted mother of three and daughter-in-law while living in Tokyo. Her life took a significant turn when she relocated to New York in 1998 with her family.
The events of September 11, 2001, became a pivotal moment in Yoshimi’s life, leading her to reflect deeply on the meaning of true happiness and the essential role of maintaining both mental balance and a peaceful mind. During this period of contemplation, she found solace in origami, which evolved into an artistic practice as she explored paper transformation through various techniques. This creative awakening led her to share her cultural heritage by teaching Japanese language, cooking, and art to American students—activities that quickly became her passion.
Recognizing that holistic well-being is fundamental to achieving one’s dreams, Yoshimi expanded her expertise to include fitness instruction and nutrition. Today, she integrates her diverse skill set—spanning Japanese arts, culinary expertise, physical wellness, and nutritional knowledge—into her philosophy of “Love life and live it.” As a life coach, Yoshimi draws upon these multiple dimensions of expertise to guide others on their paths to personal fulfillment.
