This is the perfect exercise for anyone who loves to move to rhythm. All classes are streamed live via Zoom.

The event started with smiling greetings from members who had come together across borders and time differences. It was an exercise session for friends who all shared a common goal of improving their physical and mental health.

Rejuvex is an exercise created by instructor Yoshimi Arai that revives the mind and body. By dissolving your mind in music, but keeping your body and mind fully engaged, you will find that your body and mind are rejuvenated without you even realizing it.

How is it different?

"It's online, but it's always live, so you can receive direct instruction."
The instructor checks you through the screen and explains and instructs you directly, so you can train the muscles you need properly. If you have any questions or concerns, you can ask them directly and they will help you out.

"Small-group live classes"
Classes are small and begin with the instructor introducing each member, so even first-timers can enjoy the class in a relaxed atmosphere without feeling nervous. There are participants from all over Japan and even from the United States, so new encounters are made across borders, regions, and generations.

"Connecting the brain and body"
Rejuvex is an exercise specialized in connecting the brain and body. It was developed by Yoshimi Arai based on her own experience as an exercise to balance the functioning of the brain, mind, and body.

Rejuvex Zumba

Zumba started with aerobics set to Latin music. We dance to choreography that matches a variety of music.​
The most important thing is to have fun.
Don't worry about dancing the way you were taught, just surrender yourself to the music and feel the rhythm in your body.
We will also provide separate instruction on the movements. Have fun dancing and rejuvenate your body and mind.

Rejuvex Chair

While sitting in a chair, you can train all the opposing muscle groups of your body without putting strain on your knee joints.
Each session has a different playlist, so you can enjoy the exercise without getting bored.
Especially, the focus is on increasing flexibility of the shoulder blades and hip joints, correcting the position of the pelvis, and training and strengthening the abdominal muscles, chest muscles, back muscles, and deep abdominal muscles that lift the thighs.

Rejuvex Toning

The exercises are performed to fun music with a light barbell in each hand.
This allows you to feel the rhythm more easily and to focus on different muscle groups.
While you are moving in a fun way, you naturally tighten your body more effectively.
The goal is not to build muscle, but to stimulate the muscles and improve flexibility and endurance, so a low-impact object like a 500ml water bottle or a barbell is ideal. That will be enough to get the full effect.

Yoshimi Arai

In 1998, I moved to the United States with my family as the wife of an expatriate.

 

When my husband became self-employed, I felt the urge to break free from 14 years of being a full-time housewife. I began teaching Japanese language, cooking, and origami art to locals, while also working as an instructor for various Zumba programs.

 

I eventually started a class for aqua exercise derived from Aqua Zumba. However, in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic caused the gym to shut down suddenly, leaving my students, who came to the pool daily, without a place to exercise.

 

These students chose pool exercises to reduce the strain on their knees. I worried that staying home and becoming inactive would undo all the progress they had made. That’s when I thought: what if we could create an online program where they could exercise safely and comfortably at home, sitting in a chair? This idea became the foundation of Rejuvex.

 

Another motivating factor was my late mother. She spent years managing knee pain through temporary measures and underwent knee replacement surgery in her 80s. Sadly, she passed away before she could fully enjoy walking without pain.

 

I couldn’t help but think that her knee condition might have been prevented through proper exercise. This regret inspired me to make Rejuvex a program that empowers people to maintain their physical and mental health and fully enjoy life.

 

Chronic illnesses and joint problems don’t develop overnight. Our daily habits shape the quality of our lives. If we can regularly listen to our bodies, notice issues early, and adjust our exercise and lifestyle to address them, how much better would life be without frequent doctor visits?

 

I’ve received feedback from participants saying they’ve seen remarkable improvements. For example, some have regained the ability to sit in a traditional Japanese kneeling position after years of knee issues, others who were inflexible have improved their range of motion, and many report feeling refreshed and energized after a long day at work. These stories reinforce the positive impact of Rejuvex, and I am thrilled to witness its benefits.

 

My ultimate goal is to help more people fall in love with life through Rejuvex.
